I joined the team working on the Diversity and Inclusion Project and assisting with conducting focus groups, constructing surveys, collecting and analyzing data and writing reports.

Assistant Professor of Communication
University of North Texas at Dallas

2010 - 2016

As the only communication professor on campus for quite some time, I taught introduction to communication, business communication, presentational speaking and a few writing classes.

Graduate Research Assistant

Education
University of Texas at Austin

2018 - present

I'm completing my master's degree in Information Studies at iSchool. iSchools are relatively new players on the higher education terrain but they are super cool, which is why I am taking one extra year to graduate -- too many exciting things to learn.

University College of Dublin

2017 - 2018

I took a year to figure out how college works in Europe and I enrolled into a master's program in American Studies in Dublin, Ireland. Why go to Ireland to study America? Well, large things are better viewed from a distance.

University of Texas at Austin

2004 - 2010

I earned my doctoral degree in Communication Studies from UT Austin, specializing in political communication and media.  My dissertation examined the transformation of public dialog in times of political change.

University of Massachusetts in Amherst

2000 - 2002

At UMASS I earned my master's degree in Education and took all classes that fit my schedule -- from poetry with Jim Tate to linguistics with Barbara Partee to political science with MJ Peterson and instructional web design with Claire Kilbane ad Mei-Yau Shih.
